Yung Piç started making serious music in the summer of 2016 under various names such as promiseofsummer and Saymus (by then, still just small little RnB and cloud-trap songs and demos with main influences of artists such as nothing,nowhere. & Partynextdoor) He originally started out as a bedroom producer as a way to learn how to write and perform music, later on how to sing and rap upon those beats. By 2019, his beats have got into the foreground and are an elementary part of his musical expression. By the start of 2020, he started releasing music frequently under the name Yung Piç. His first release under the new name dropped on the 19th of April in 2020. The very first E.P dropped not too much later in the same year, titled after his previous musical endeavor "SAYMUS", with the leading single CUDI, which started to gain him a small following. With songs like Guerilla, Pluto Pt. 2, No Hook he started to find his own niche which will continue with an Album in 2023.
