Ahmediye Cemaati, 1889'da Hindistan'ın Pencap Bölgesinin, Kadiyan adında küçük ve ıssız bir köyünde Mirza Gulam Ahmed (1835-1908) tarafından kurulmuştur. Kendisi, âhir zamanda tüm dinlerin beklediği kişi, yani beklenen müceddid (Mehdi ve Mesih) olduğunu iddia etti. Kurduğu cemaat, İslâm'ın ilk günlerindeki berraklığı taşıyan hayırlı tebliğinin -sulh, umumî kardeşlik ve Allah'ın iradesine teslimiyet -- bir kuruluşudur. Hz.
