Leekyxiv uses his art to promote the importance of living a positive life style, spending time in self reflection, and developing a strong work ethic. Born and raised in Highland Falls, NY, Malik Johnson, known as LeekyXIV, always had love for music. He became more involved in rapping and songwriting at the age of 16. Later attending SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY, LeekyXIV was named captain of the men’s basketball team. His love and passion for sports made it easy to expand his efforts in the music industry. Connecting with Eric Armitage(formerly known as Generic) at SUNY Poly, he then began working with Tha Bakery. His hip-hip name, LeekyXIV, comes from personal experiences and wearing #14 on the basketball court. He released his debut tape, “XIV,” in early 2018. His second project dropped in September of 2018 and is titled Xpression! In 2019 Leeky dropped a Collab project with KayJay called "3:14
