De Ouddorpse Reddingsbrigade (ORB) is aangesloten bij Reddingsbrigade Nederland en heeft ten doel het voorkomen en bestrijden van de verdrinkingsdood in de ruimste zin van het woord. Dit doen wij door middel van: - Structurele bewaking van het Ouddorpse strand tijdens de zomermaanden; - Incidentele bewaking van evenementen, zie ORB EVENTS; - Het geven van voorlichting, adviezen en demonstraties; - Het organiseren van opleidingen; - Evacuatie en hulpverlening bij overstromingen samen met andere eenheden van de Nationale Reddingsvloot. Het lidmaatschap van de vereniging staat open voor iedereen vanaf 15 jaar die in het bezit is van zwemdiploma’s A en B.
