DETAILS ABOUT The Sim Station
Welcome to The Sim Station! I got my start on YouTube recording gaming videos, mostly Farming Simulator. I loved the sense of going from nothing to slowly building things up. I do not play games much anymore, but kept the videos and the name. In a lot of ways, the games I played are similar to what I now do. We bought 14 acres nearby our home in Burnet County, Texas. It was nothing but a mess of trees and brush when we began. Slowly we are building it up so we can live out there. I still work full time to fund this project, so videos will maybe be once or twice a week. When we compared costs, building our own solar and rainwater collection systems was cheaper than drilling a well and bringing on power, also, we wouldn't have any monthly bills, so I guess that means we are off grid. I'm not sure what homesteading is, but that is how we think of what we are doing out there. We don't really know what we are doing, but we are having fun in this adventure and hope you do too.
