Die drei Brüder Tobias, Markus und Philipp Thomann waren 2007 erstmals angetreten, um in Florian Silbereisens ARD-Samstagabendshow mit Chucks, Lederhose und E-Gitarre für Aufsehen zu sorgen und wurden schnell zu Vorreitern einer ganz neuen Sparte. Seitdem spielten sie über 1500 Konzerte und hatten über 150 TV-Auftritte. Ihre Musik ist Genre-übergreifend und beinhaltet Elemente aus Rock, Pop, Partyschlager sowie traditionelle Elemente. 2017 erreichten sie eine Nominierung zum ECHO, dem renommiertesten Musikpreis Deutschlands. Ihr Song „Dorfkind“ wurde zum Hit. Über 15 Millionen Klicks auf Youtube alleine zu diesem Song sprechen für sich. 2021 schlagen sie mit ihrer Single "Der King" in die gleiche Kerbe und singen eine Hymne auf alle Landwirte. Der Videoclip zum Song erreichte in nur einer Woche über 1 Million Aufrufe bei Youtube und Facebook. Seit 2015 landeten drei Alben der Dorfrocker in den TOP10 der deutschen Album Charts.
