The need to belong to a group and fit in is something the lives deep within us. It can effect how we interact with people, shape the way we look at the world around us. Although their are many different groups that believe many different things, they all are connected by one thread. The belief that their group is the right group, or the best group, etc. Within all of these groups, their is a minority that is also connected by one thread. They do not belong in the group. Whether they look the part, but don't act it. Or vice versa. They may have done the group harm in some way. For whatever reason, this small minority is usually shunned by those who should in theory be their allies. This group of people are the castaways of society. As such, they are relegated to the fringes of society by the gatekeepers. This grants them a unique perspective on a given situation or group in society that usually is not held by the majority. This is my Black Sheep Theory.
