Nashville-based Americana singer/songwriter Alvaro V had been gaining experience writing songs and playing live music well before releasing his debut EP (some highlights including opening for Judah and the Lion with CLAYTON, and playing drums in a blues band with Miles Connor back in Texas). Alvaro has found guidance with songwriters like Mark T. Jordan and Joshua Quimby, and has worked with writers like Rianna Marie and Brody Schenk. And now, he has released his self-titled debut EP, which includes songs like the rhythmic and rootsy “Mountaintop John”, and the Belafonte-esc serenade/lullaby, “Goodnight”. With influences like Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Arlo Guthrie, Alvaro has attempted to make his way through the haze of the modern world, while staying true to himself and his music, and aiming to bring true goodness and joy to people’s lives through his songs and stories.
