Das Verleihsystem VELOGUT stellt ab Mai 2017 150 Unternehmen Lastenräder zur kostenlosen Erprobung zur Verfügung. Ziel des Projektes ist es das Lastenrad als modernes, wirtschaftlich sinnvolles und umweltschonendes Transportmittel bekannt zu machen, die Fuhrparkstrategien von Unternehmen positiv zu beeinflussen und damit die gewerbliche Nutzung zu stärken. Für das Modellprojekt werden 30 Lastenfahrräder mit unterschiedlichen Aufbauten bereitgestellt, 15 davon in der E-Bike-Version. Sie sollen während der 1,5-jährigen Projektlaufzeit in möglichst vielfältigen Tätigkeitsfeldern zum Einsatz kommen, um viele, unterschiedliche Unternehmen zu erreichen. Das Lastenrad kann für einen Leihzeitraum von 1-3 Monate je nach Anwendungsgebiet und Unternehmensstruktur ausgeliehen werden. Die Aufbauten werden dabei für das jeweilige Unternehmen individualisiert, z.B. durch eine verschließbare Kurierbox oder Halterungssysteme für den Handwerker etc. Die Lastkapazität beträgt inkl. des Fahrers 180kg.
