Um grupo de amigos católicos de São Paulo, Brasil, resolveu se organizar para promover uma grande cruzada de orações e realizar uma ação de apostolado junto àqueles que vão se afastando da Fé Católica, ou mesmo já a abandonaram. Em pouco tempo descobrem que esse esfriamento na Fé vai muito além das fronteiras brasileiras, trata-se de uma crise mundial. Com o tempo perceberam em São Pio de Pietrelcina o grande intercessor dessa obra. Seus carismas, dons, estigmas e exemplo de santidade começaram a atrair milhares de almas, afervorar os tíbios, resgatar aqueles que abandonaram a nossa Santa Religião e despertar em muitos o desejo da santidade. E como todas as obras que recebem as bênçãos do Espírito Santo, essa Cruzada começou a extrapolar o imenso território brasileiro, avançando pela América Latina, América do Norte e Europa (especialmente Portugal, onde a Associação fincou raízes).
