1991 年5 月10 日生まれ、北海道函館市出身のシンガーソングライター。 2014 年にメジャーデビューのきっかけとなったテイラー・スウィフト『私たちは絶対に絶対にヨリを戻したりしない～ We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together』の"テイラー公認"日本語カバーを筆頭に注目を集め、第29回日本ゴールドディスク大賞の新人部門を受賞。 自身の代表曲となる『LOVE』が収録された1st Album『FIRST KISS』がヒットし、レコチョクで総合1 位＆オリコン週間ランキングTOP5 を記録。SNS を中心に話題を集め、YouTube の総再生回数は日本人アーティスト最速で1億回を超え、YouTube のキャンペーンにも抜擢。 2018 年にはデビュー5 周年を迎え、初のベストアルバム『BEST LOVE MACO』をリリース。各種ストリーミングアルバムチャートで1 位、オリコン週間ランキングでも6 位を記録。同年のツアーでは、国内以外にも台湾・上海のアジア公演も開催。更には2019 年には全国11 都市でアコースティックワンマンツアー「My Acoustic Tour 2019-2020」を開催し、全公演SOLDOUT。 2020 年AbemaTV ドラマ「僕だけが17 歳の世界で」にて、『桜の木の下』、レミオロメン『3 月9 日』のMACO Cover２ 曲同時に挿入歌として異例の起用。同年の6 月からは「Endless Love Tour」と題し、月に一度オンラインライブを行うなど、コロナ化でもファンとの積極的なコミュニケーションに取り組んでいた。2022 年には5枚目のアルバム「We Promised.」を発売し、全国ツアーを完走。その後、結婚、休養期間を経て2023 年5 月7日の自身のデビュー日に、1 年ぶりにアーティスト活動再開。
