Geralmente quem decide trabalhar com música começa a dar os primeiros passos ainda na infância ou adolescência, pois o sangue artístico corre por dentro das veias já nos primeiros anos de vida. Com o Richard Mota Campos, não foi diferente, ele ganhou seu primeiro computador em 2007, aos 12 anos, e desde então se apaixonou pelo trabalho dos DJ’s. Assim, passou a usar a internet como veículo de informação para entender, de fato, como esses profissionais atuavam no mercado. Pouco tempo depois, começou a produzir suas próprias músicas, fazer remixes e batidas autorais, até que o nome ‘DJ Ryder’ surgiu em sua mente para ingressar neste universo. Ainda hoje há muitos questionamentos em torno da escolha, mas Richard explica de onde surgiu a ideia. “Eu era muito fã da franquia GTA e na época eu, meu irmão e amigos montamos um grupo no qual tinha MC e DJ. Cada um escolheu um nome, e eu escolhi ‘Ryder’ como nome do meu personagem. E de lá pra cá o nome pegou”, revelou ele.
