ملحن وكاتب الأغاني المصري ، كان من الرواد الذين قدموا تطورات جديدة في مجال الموسيقى ،. كان أيضًا عازفًا مميزًا للعود ولوحة المفاتيح ، ولاحقًا كان أول من قدم أعمالً موسيقية باستخدام لوحة المفاتيح. أسس فرقته الموسيقية "الأصدقاء".عمل شريعي على الموسيقى في أكثر من 150 دراما تلفزيونية وحوالي 50 فيلما وست مسرحيات. أنتج ألبومات لمطربين في بداية حياتهم المهنية مثل لطيفة وأمل ماهر. كما ساهم في مسيرة أنغام ومحمد منير.
