Marcia Castro movimenta, inventa. Inquieta, divertida e mutante, reflete a dinâmica das relações, da linguagem e da sonoridade contemporâneas. A baiana iniciou sua carreira aos 16 anos. Em 2006, conquistou o Braskem de Cultura e Arte, iniciando assim a gravação do seu 1º CD, “PECADINHO”. Em 2008, Marcia lança o disco em São Paulo, onde se radicou. Em 2012 a cantora lança o seu segundo álbum "DE PÉS NO CHÃO", através do programa Natura Musical. Em paralelo a sua carreira, Marcia promoveu nos verões baianos o projeto “PIPOCA MODERNA”, reunindo no mesmo palco nomes como Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Ney Matogrosso, Baby do Brasil, Luiz Melodia, Elza Soares, dentre outros. Em 2014, lançou o seu terceiro album, "DAS COISAS QUE SURGEM". Em 2017, é lançado seu quarto álbum, TRETA. Em 2021, Marcia lança o álbum AXÉ, inspirado na música baiana dos anos 90, com produção musical do maestro Letieres Leite e Lucas Santtanna, e direção artística do jornalista Marcus Preto.
