It all began in September 2008, Robin, Valerian and Greg are on a trip on Queens Charlotte Islands and find themselves in a local pub, The Salmon Fishers. It's in this pub, a place where salmon fishermen of the city of Nistin used to gather after work, that the band's first songs were written. SALMON FISHERS remain highly influenced by northern American folk music (Arcade Fire, Beirut, Sufjan Stevens), but also by English power-pop (Gorillaz, Metronomy...). In 2009, Victor and Damien added their horns to the band, soon followed by Chris and Allan on bass and the drums. SALMON FISHERS offers rich, colorful and timeless sound. All compositions of the band appeal to the emotions and energies hidden inside everyone. On stage they sing together accompanied by brass, strings, keyboards, guitars, percussions... In one word, their live performance is an experience you shouldn't miss.
