OYes members Dee Day and Thom Mziah both came to Berlin with a dream to make it in music. They met in the bar were Thom had his first DJ job. Dee showed him his music; they started talking about their work and clicked straight away. They got so into their discussion that Thom stopped DJ'ing, played an old mix on loop and disappeared to Dee's studio. They ended up recording all night and produced their first song 'Let me in'! Needless to say Thom lost his DJ job the very next day! But the song is a hit! This was just the beginning! Since that day in 2012 they have been inseparable, always busy planning their professional future as a team. Ironically they have some language issues. Thom speaks English and Dee mostly German. Thanks to iPhones and the Google translator they managed to communicate. Every time they agreed on something they ended up saying "OYes". It became their thing. So when Dee and Thom decided to become known as a group it had to be as OYes!
