Benji and his predecessor The Toby (the Original Budgie Extraordinaire) love making people smile and laugh! Benji (Benjamin Budgie Lee), the latest to join the flock, was hatched sometime in July 2012. He is male and was parent-raised, not hand-reared. He was adopted at about age 8 weeks and is tame and social. ----------------------------- The Toby was a male Budgie. His full name was: Tobias Budgie Lee. He was born some time in February 2010, and he was adopted from a pet shop by his mommy and auntie in March 2010. At that time, he still had baby "bars" on his head. The Toby was not hand-reared, but he was nevertheless very tame, friendly, and well-socialized. At about 5 months of age, The Toby was heard muttering, "Whatcha doing?" He went on to mimic and, sometimes, with incredible appropriateness, use many words and sounds he hears. The Toby was an extremely intelligent, inquisitive, social, and active budgie who loved to play, especially when there were flock members around.
