Impressum: http://www.thw.de/DE/Service/Impressum/impressum_node.html Leistungsfähige Fahrzeuge und moderne Technik sind die unverzichtbare Grundlage für die Arbeit des THW. Ohne die freiwilligen Helferinnen und Helfer bewegt sich kein Boot, liefert kein Notstromaggregat Energie, produziert keine Aufbereitungsanlage sauberes Wasser und läuft keine Motorsäge. Mehr als 85.000 Menschen -- junge und alte, Männer und Frauen -- engagieren sich in der Bevölkerungsschutzorganisation. Verteilt auf acht Landesverbände leisten sie in den über das gesamte Bundesgebiet verteilten 668 Ortsverbänden technische Hilfe -- Tag für Tag. Eine umfassende Ausbildung bereitet die Einsatzkräfte für diese verantwortungsvollen Aufgaben vor. An den Aus- und Fortbildungszentren des THW werden die Helferinnen und Helfer zu Maschinisten, Trinkwasserlaboranten, Bootsführern, Ortungsspezialisten oder Führungskräften weitergebildet.
