I hope my channel here will give you a taste of what I do, which is often to combine arts - specifically, composing music with painting, illustration and writing. I compose 21st.Century Tone Poems, with a sound-painting twist. The music is intended to evoke images or to convey the impression of events. It usually tells a story or describes an experience of a place. These sorts of pieces have historically been called 'symphonic poems' which, for me, isn't entirely accurate, as I use every sound at my disposal not just a symphony orchestra. You will hear natural sounds and mechanical sounds together with acoustic and electronic sounds. I will post music videos here and also a few videos of me narrating passages from my books, just to give you a flavour of the stories. There are illustration videos too. At the moment, I am producing audiobooks for children and YAs but I hope an e-book will soon be available. Then you will be able to see full pictures of the characters!
