1945 yılında Tokat'ın Zile ilçesi Çamdere Köyü'nde dünyaya geldim. Köyde hayatımı çiftçilikle uğraşırken 1972 yılında köyden İstanbul'a göç ettim. 17 yılda İstanbul da çalıştım ve emekli oldum. 1994 yılında Datça'ya yerleştim. Burada kitaplarımı yazmaya devam ediyorum. Çok mutluyum. Şiirlerimi Aşık Sefil mahlasıyla yazmaktayım. Şiire gönül vermiş biriyim. Umudum insanımızın, insanlığın daha aydınlık yarınlara ulaşmasıdır. Şiirlerimi hep bu doğrultuda yazmaya çalışıyorum. Aslolan insanlıktır. Bütün şiir sevenlere, şiir dostlarına, türkülere gönül vermiş bütün canlara selam ve sevgiler..
