Lo scopo principale del canale è quello di far conoscere l'immenso patrimonio storico rappresentato dalla millenaria arte del fondere campane. Le campane sono state testimoni di alcuni dei maggiori eventi della storia dell'uomo, suonando a martello per segnalare un pericolo imminente o dondolando a gloria durante i giorni di festa. L'utilizzo della campana per richiamare i fedeli alla preghiera è un'invenzione del vescovo Paolino di Nola, che nel V secolo importò in Occidente questo strumento musicale della tradizione asiatica convertendone l'uso. Oggi il suono delle campane in qualche caso infastidisce, spesso viene dimenticato e finisce per mescolarsi sino a scomparire nel trambusto quotidiano, che troppo di frequente non permette di far risuonare nelle nostre città solitarie questi echi dell'Infinito.
