H4+ is a joint effort by UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF, UN Women, WHO and the World Bank, governments and civil societies of 36 countries with high burdens of reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child mortality and morbidity. In each country, H4+, Ministry of Health officials and partners team up to address the reproductive maternal, newborn and child health issues and help coordinate support for national maternal and newborn health policies and plans. The H4+ serves as the lead technical partners for the UN Secretary-General’s Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health and the subsequent Every Woman Every Child movement.
