Double Screen is the live electronica project from Dónal Sharpson, a music producer and performer from Dublin. The ‘Double Screen’ project is about creating atmospheric, melodic sounds that are reminiscent of artists such as Jamie XX, Bonobo, Underworld, Aphex Twin, Calibre and Caribou. You can catch Double Screen as a live band with Fionn Ruadh on Double Bass and Synths, and Declan GIllen on Drums. Dónal Sharpson produces a whole range of genres under different monikers including ‘Sharpson’, ‘Tooka’ and ‘Granny’. As well as DJing all over Ireland, holding several residencies in Dublin City, he is also accustomed to playing abroad (UK, Czech Republic, Greece, Malta) with other projects as well as his own. With an electronic performance and extraordinary visuals, his live show is not to be missed. Double Screen’s sound is mainly influenced by UK Break music from the 90’s, including Drum & Bass, IDM and Breakbeat.
