2021 war der Beginn einer Reise für CONNY: einer der lyrisch und inhaltlich stärksten Deutschrap- Newcomer begann, eine Geschichte zu erzählen, die so noch nicht diesem Kosmos erzählt wurde. Geschlechterrollen, Feminismus, kritische Männlichkeit - bisher hat kein cis-männlicher Rapper gewagt, ein so umfangreiches Werk zu diesen Themen einer Szene vorzustellen, die auch 2022 immer noch häufig genug Abgründe in Sachen sexistischem, misogynem und queerfeindlichem Verhalten offenbart. Dabei erzählt CONNY mal witzig, mal melancholisch; mal persönlich, mal mit messerscharfem Blick auf gesellschaftliche Ereignisse - aber immer um die Ecke gedacht und mit viel Liebe zur Sprache formuliert. Nach der Lieder über Lara EP (2018), „Stadtlandflucht“ mit seinem Rap-Kollegen Pimf (2019) und der Temporär für immer EP (2019) folgt 2022 nun der zweite Teil seiner Album Trilogie „Manic Pixie Dream Boy“. (Teil 1 der Trilogie erschien 2021).
