Hello YouTube Community! These video lessons are for anyone trying to improve their English. My goal is to help viewers speak more natural and fluent English by learning practical expressions and conversations. My experience: I have taught English as a foreign language for more than 25 years. I am an associate professor of applied linguistics at a women's university in Japan. With my academic background, I have presented at many international conferences on language learning. It is my passion and something I continue to enjoy. My accent is American. I was born and raised near Boston, Massachusetts, but also lived in California for 10 years. Languages Studied: My second language is Japanese which I can also read (not so easy because there are about 2,000 Chinese characters to learn). In my school days, I studied Spanish and later in graduate school I learned some Chinese. Through YouTube, I believe we can all learn together. I really hope you enjoy the channel. Steve
