TAT is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven spiritual philosophical self-help community. Founded in 1973 by spiritual teacher Richard Rose, TAT was founded on the conviction that our investigation of life's mysteries is expedited by working with others who are exploring, perhaps down a different road, so that we may share our discoveries & exchange ideas in order to come to a better understanding of ourself and others. Richard Rose is sometimes described as "the greatest man no one's ever heard of." A native son from the hills of West Virginia, Mr. Rose underwent a cataclysmic spiritual experience at the age of 30 that left him with an intimate understanding of the secrets of life and death. He was often referred to as a Zen Master by the people who knew him because of the depth of his wisdom and his ability to make direct mind contact with his students. But he did not expound traditional Zen or any other traditional teachings. What he taught sprang from his personal realization of Truth.
