Coupled with suggestions from the fans through various social media sites, our Improvisers create distinctive new characters to fill this world. They then make choices as these characters, which drives the narrative forward. This creates a fresh, unique story that is genuinely unpredictable and wholly original. The Weekender Series aims to develop a style of filmmaking that mixes the energy and ingenuity of live improv with the immediacy of a 48-hour film festival to create engaging, original feature length films. The first film in the series, "Quarter Life", opened in Kitchener, Ontario in 2009 to much fanfare, garnering media attention from both magazine and television such as CTV News.
