Enter a world of mystery and paradox, where existences are fluid and nothing is quite as it seems... Seitz /zʌɪts/ is the art-pop project of Bristol-based singer and pianist Carolin Seitz. Classically trained and heavily influenced by piano goddesses Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Fiona Apple, she combines various keyboard instruments with synthetic and programmed sounds to accommodate both classical and contemporary compositional techniques. Arrangements rich in melodic and rhythmic counterpoint intertwine effortlessly with her vocals, ranging from light and ethereal to dark and seductive. Seitz had just begun releasing music and rehearsing for a tour with a full band when the pandemic struck and Carolin came down with long COVID. Now slowly recovering, but still a long way from being able to perform live, she has turned her attention to videography. The video for upcoming single 'The Web' is her first solo production. It will be released in October.
