Nature Education, Feeding Birds, Providing Nest Boxes, Observing Nature, Improving Habitat. I'm Jeff Hansen. My channel is dedicated to birds found in my Topeka KS or Mitchell SD property as well as the surrounding areas. All videos are recorded by myself. The birds seen in my backyard are not here by accident as the fact that I've created an oasis for them. The plants I use are all native to the region. The trees, shrubs, grasses, and wildflowers provide shelter and places to feed and nest. Most importantly the plants support the food chain of insects, spiders, and other invertebrates which the birds depend on for food. Furthermore I provide nest boxes (birdhouses) for cavity nesting birds. Like many people I also feed the birds with supplemental seed and suet. Lastly I provide water in the form of a small pond and watering structures. I will not monetize my videos until they are at least one month old, so you can view new videos ad free.
