Zespół Forteca powstał w 2006 roku. W swoich utworach podejmował tematykę historii Polski w rockowym brzmieniu. Tak zespół przez 14 lat opowiadał słuchaczom o ważnych wydarzeniach oraz Bohaterach naszej wspólnej historii. W tym czasie powstało ponad 60 utworów, w tym stworzone m.in. do twórczości poetów tj: A. Mickiewicz, K.K. Baczyński, F. Konarski, T. Gajcy, czy W. Broniewski. Zespół stworzył także kilka nowych aranżacji do znanych utworów patriotycznych. Jednak przeważająca część twórczości zespołu to autorskie utwory, które powstały dzięki współpracy z autorką tekstów Anną Czerwiec-Banek. Podejmowane w tych utworach tematy nawiązują do mniej znanych wydarzeń i biografii Bohaterów. Obecnie kontynuują działalność koncertową pod nazwą FORTECA – Walka Trwa, który ma nadal stać na straży Pamięci o naszych Bohaterach i ważnych wydarzeniach z naszej historii. Aktualnie zespół tworzy 5 muzyków, którzy podejmują tematykę historyczno-patriotyczną w akustycznym, bardziej stonowanym brzmieniu.
