The EURAXESS Science Slam Brazil is a contest open to researchers of any nationality and any discipline working in Brazil (as from PhD students) to showcase their work in a creative manner and to engage with each other. The second edition of the global EURAXESS Science Slam will be held in toctober 2014 in ASEAN, Brazil, China, India, Japan and North America by EURAXESS Links. In Brazil, up to five finalists will battle it out on October the 10th at Casa da Ciência, Rio de Janeiro, in the LIVE finals for the title of "EURAXESS Brazil Science Slammer 2014" and a free trip to Europe as 1st prize. The finalists will be chosen among all submissions sent to EURAXESS Links Brazil. In 2013, the first edition was organized in Rio de Janeiro by EURAXESS Links Brazil with the institutional support of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ).
