Just what YouTube needs! Another metal detecting channel! My channel is about searching for treasure, and hunting down abandoned historical locations in coastal British Columbia Canada. Though I love to find old coins, what I like the most is finding items that which require research to identify, and often lead one to discover new connections with people and places from the past. One such area I am very Interested in is uncovering the vibrant coastal communities that were only made possible with the Union Steamship Company's service network that moved people and freight anywhere and everywhere along our coastline from the late 1800's until the 1950's. With the end of their service we saw the life line that made life and trade viable in so many small communities come to an end. I do this because I love history, and the feeling of personally connecting to places and people from the past through the objects that were left behind. My goal is to document items I find here.
