Studio Miniatur Filmowych powstało w 1958 roku w Warszawie. Było jednym z pięciu studiów animacji istniejących w okresie PRL-u, a i dziś zalicza się do najważniejszych wytwórni filmowych w Polsce. To tu narodziły się kultowe już ,,wieczorynki": ,,Piesek w kratkę", ,,Pomysłowy Dobromir", ,,Wędrówki Pyzy" jak również filmy artystyczne będące kamieniami milowymi światowego kina: ,,Labirynt" Jana Lenicy czy ,,Łagodna" Piotra Dumały. W ciągu 55 lat swego istnienia nasze Studio wyprodukowało ponad 2000 obrazów. Wśród świeżo ukończonych realizacji znalazły się m.in. ,,Podróże na burzowej chmurze", ,,Hip-Hip Hurra", ,,Mami Fatale" oraz filmy autorskie młodych twórców: ,,Lucky Day Forever" Alka Wasilewskiego (2011) i ,,Łaźnia" Tomka Duckiego. Studio Miniatur współprodukuje z Planet Nemo Animation z Francji 25 minutowy TV Special pt. ,,Nie martw się Tamaro" (reż. Elżbieta Wąsik). Obecnie trwają prace przygotowawcze do serii ,,Radostki" Magdaleny Osińskiej w koprodukcji polsko-brytyjskiej.
