Los Orishas comenzó como el grupo de rap cubano Amenaza a principios de la década de 1990. De los cientos de raperos en Cuba, Orishas es el único grupo que ha logrado reconocimiento internacional a partir de 2006. [6] Su primer álbum, A Lo Cubano, fue lanzado en España en mayo de 1999 bajo el apodo de Orishas. En el verano de 1999, Orishas comenzó una gira de dos años por Europa y Estados Unidos, que les brindó un aviso internacional. Su incorporación de ritmos cubanos tradicionales como la salsa y la rumba en su rap es un ángulo que atrae a cientos de personas en todo el mundo y que ha llegado con los años a convertirse en movimiento. En el año 2017 lanzaron su nuevo álbúm Gourmet, disponible en todas las plataformas digitales, el cual El disco debutó #2 en iTunes España y número #4 en el Top Latin Album de iTunes USA.
