Choreographer / dancer / teacher Maggie Boogaart received her training at the Martha Graham School NYC and London Contemporary Dance School, after which she danced for inspiring choreographers such as Suki John, Jeanette Stoner, Ann Carlson, Aukje Gorter and Peter Sparling. She directed her dance company "Dragon Productions" from 1994 until end 2009, creating dance-theatre productions in collaborations with different artists such as violinist Lisa Gutkin, composer/designer Martin Draax. Boogaart now works as an independant choreographer and teaches daily open classes in Martha Graham technique from beginner to (pre)pro students in Paris (France), since 2012 she directs PARIS MARAIS DANCE SCHOOL together with Ghislain de Compreignac. In her teaching she shares her passion for performing, her technical virtuosity & and the detailed insights into the Graham dynamics she received from legendary Graham principal dancers like Pearl Lang. www.paris-marais-dance-school.org
