علي بن عبد الرحمن الجفري ولِد علي الجفري في جدة بالمملكة العربية السعودية، في عام 1391هـ -1971م ونشأ في الحجاز حيث كانت تقيم أسرته ، وهو يحمل الجنسية "اليمنية" . علي الجفري لا يحمل أي شهادة جامعية ، ويُعمى على هذا عند تقديمه للناس بلقب "المحاضر في دار المصطفى" ودار المصطفى هي عبارة عن رباط أو تكية صوفية تلقى بها بعض دجل التصوف . تتلمذ الجفري على يد عدد من دعاة الصوفية في أرض الحجاز، كما تتلمذ على يد محمد علوي مالكي، وعمر بن حفيظ ، مدير معهد دار المصطفى بتريم. أخذ شهرته أولاً من أضواء "القنوات الفضائية" الخليعة الساقطة ، مثل قناة "دريم2" وقناة "المحور" المصريتين ، والتي يقف ورائها أناس هم أبعد ما يكونون عن الإسلام. ويصف الجفري مذهبه بأنه شافعي المذهب فقهاً ، وعلى عقيدة "الأشاعرة" الذين يحرّفون صفات الله تعالى ويعطّلونها على طريقة الجهمية. وزيارة الجفري لدول علمانية تحارب الإسلام وأهله ، وتحرم على الدعاة من أهل السنة والجماعة دخولها أكبر دليل على دعم نظام الكفر العالمي بعد أحداث 11سبتمبر لهذا التيار الخرافي. و"الصوفية" هي الأخرى، ونتيجة لهذا التقارب بينها وبين الغرب الكافر ، حظيت باهتمام برامج الفضائيات ، حيث سارعت قناة "اقرأ" باستضافة علي الجفري" من خلال حلقات حوارية!!
