كاريس بشار ممثلة سورية، بدأت الخطوة الأولى في تاريخها الفني عبر إعلان تلفزيوني لوزارة الثقافة للانتساب إلى فرقة "زنوبيا" عام 1992، وتم قبولها في قسم الفنون الشعبية، لتتمكّن بعدها الفتاة ذات الثلاثة عشر عاماً من أن تصبح قائدة للفرقة بعد ثلاثة أشهر فقط، وفي سن السادسة عشر اختارها الممثل القدير دريد لحام للمشاركة في مسرحيتي "صانع المطر" و"العصفورة السعيدة" حيث لقي أداءها آراءً إيجابية في الوسط الفني. أما دخولها لعالم التمثيل فكان عن طريق المخرج بسام الملا وأثناء حضوره أحد عروض الفرقة، تزامناً مع تحضيره لمسلسل "العبابيد" عام 1996، حينها اختارها الملا لتخضع لاختبار أداء للمسلسل, واختيرت لتلعب دور "أناغيم". خلال تصوير مسلسل “العبابيد”، تلقّت بشار عرضاً لمسلسل "عيلة ست نجوم" عام 1996 وأدت فيه دور "بثينة"، تلاه تصوير مسلسل "مذكرات عائلية" عام 1997 والذي لعبت فيه شخصية "ريم"، ثم مسلسل "خان الحرير" عام 1997 وصولاً إلى "مرايا 98" و"عبير" في مسلسل "الطير" عام 1999، هكذا بدأت كاريس بشار مسيرة فنية لم تتوقف منذ 23 عاماً ضمت أكثر من 100 عمل تلفزيوني وسينمائي ومسرحي، وخمسة جوائز والعديد من الترشيحات.
