Fundado em 2006 para servir de mero estúdio audiovisual onde se produziria material multimédia ligado ao HipHop. Este intento conheceu uma transformação em 2009; a Siderurgia tornou-se num núcleo onde se versam vários aspectos da cultura HipHop, tendo em planos a realização de projectos que destaquem a arte alternativa inserida nesta cultura. Siderurgia é uma consequência de movimentos extintos: a Reforma Mental (de 2004) e CH3- (METIL) que significava Comunidade Hermética HipHop (de 2005). A Reforma Mental visava disseminar a informação sobre a gênese da cultura HipHop, os seus princípios e os valores humanistas. A prosseguinte CH3- realizava eventos de entretenimento HipHop e colaborava com um programa radiofónico onde através de uma rubrica chamada ABC do HipHop, espalhava conhecimento sobre o HipHop.
