Attention surrounding Arif excelled after his debut release "Kom Så Tok Færdiih" in August 2012. After the critically acclaimed EP, Arif was named Untouched Artist of The Year (Urørt) 2013 presented by NRK. After several major performances, Arif was hailed a rising star by VG, P3, Dagbladet and Aftenposten. This paved the way for a major label deal with EMI/Warner Music Group in early 2013. Arif released his much anticipated second release "Aldri & Alltid" in November 2013, and in early 2014 Arif signed a career management deal with Nora.
