A atriz Cleo Pires nasceu na cidade do Rio de Janeiro e é filha da atriz Glória Pires com o cantor Fábio Jr. Apesar de ter iniciado cedo sua carreira na televisão, em 1994, na minissérie da Rede Globo "Memorial de Maria Moura", Cleo não seguiu na profissão de atriz até ser chamada para ser atuat no filme "Benjamin", de 2003, já com quase 21 anos. Foi um convite inusitado, já que com uma experiência quase nula em interpretação, ela foi convidada para desempenhar um papel central na película. Os elogios e o prêmio de Melhor Atriz no Festival do Rio fizeram-na seguir carreira. Foi convidada para o remake da novela "Cabocla" em 2004, mas recusou, pois faria o mesmo papel que sua mãe, Glória Pires, interpretou na versão original da novela, em 1979. Cleo quis evitar comparações. Seu próximo trabalho foi a ninfeta "Lurdinha", na novela "América", em 2005. Com este trabalho na novela das oito global tornou-se conhecida e conquistou todo o País.
