Hapishanenin son yıllarında mektuplaştığı Mavi ile tahliye olduğu gün tanışır ve ikili hemen evlenmeye karar verir. Mavi’nin hapishanede onca insan içinde mektuplaşmak için kendisini seçmesi tesadüf değildir. Mavi, yıllar önce ölen Ahmet’in kardeşidir. Amacı bu olaydan sonra hayatlarının kâbusa dönmesine neden olan adamı bulup evlendikleri gece öldürmektir; ancak bilmediği bir gerçek vardır. Asıl katil, Ali’nin abisi Cemal’dir. Ali, Cemal’in karısı ve çocukları olduğu için suçu üstüne alarak yıllarca onun yerine hapis yatmıştır.
