Ocean‘s Elephant war ein Akustik-Duo, bestehend aus Sänger, Textdichter und Komponist Johannes Scheurich und Sängerin, Pianistin und Flötistin Maria Zubiak. Sie spielten etliche Live-Auftritte in Leipzig, gewannen das Coverversionen-Special des Leipziger Song Slams im Jahr 2016 und holten den zweiten Platz bei einem Song-Contest der Erzgebirgssparkasse. Letzteres brachte dem Duo einen Studioaufenthalt führte zu der Zusammenarbeit mit Mirko Suess, Sweethouse Productions. So kam es, dass es von den beiden Songs „Niemals nie“ und „Wenn‘s um Geld geht“ auch Remixe produziert wurden. Ocean’s Elephant löste sich Ende 2016 auf. Singer-Songwriter Johannes Scheurich schrieb und sang jedoch weiter.
