أليف امرأة طموحة ارتكبت خطأ فاحشاً في سنوات الجامعة. لقد أقامت علاقة مع عدنان خلال هذه السنوات وحملت منه بطفلة. ولسوء الحظ فقدت أليف الاتصال بعدنان وعندما علمت أنها حامل حاولت البحث عنه مجددا.قامت عائلة عدنان بتهديدها ولم تستطع ايجاده. حاولت أليف أن تقتل طفلتها لأنها خافت من والدها لكنها لم تستطع وأرسلت الى الحبس بسبب ذلك وهجرتها عائلتها. على كل حال وقفت أختها (داملا) ضد أبيها وأخذت الطفلة لتحميها حتى أصبح عمر ابنتها زينب 18. ترعرعت زينب على أن (داملا) هي والدتها. وعندما خرجت (أليف) من الحبس بدأت حياة جديدة وبدأت تخطط لاسترجاع ابنتها. تزوج عدنان وهو غير سعيد ويسعى للحفاظ على هذا الزواج من أجل ابنته. علم بموضوع ابنته من أليف وحمل والده مسؤولية ذلك لأنه أخفى عنه هذا الأمر. يتعين على عدنان التعامل مع أمر الطلاق والعثور على ابنته المفقودة . بينما يحاول البحث عن ابنته يقع عدنان في حب داملا. وداخل كل هذه التعقيدات تسعى أليف جاهدة لكي تسترجع ابنتها لكن (داملا) لا تقبل أن تعيد ابنتها لها بعد أن اعتنت بها كل هذه السنوات.تحارب الأختان من أجل الأمومة بينما يحارب عدنان وداملا من أجل حبهما.
