Pythagoras was one of the first to study the numbers and music of the universe. By starting with one note, finding it's fifth, and then taking that note and finding it's fifth, he discovered the twelve tone system we use today. Pythagoras believed that the universe itself was built on these harmonious vibrations. Those who studied with him were called Pythagoreans. Therefore we begin a new chapter in the search for the fundamental building blocks of the universe. I leave you with a quote from Pythagoras himself: “There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres.”
