رغبة في الإسهام في تحقيق التنمية البشرية والاجتماعية في الدولة، فقد قامت صاحبة السمو الشيخة/موزا بنت ناصر (حفظها الله) في غضون عام 1996 بتأسيس مركز الإنماء الإجتماعي - نماء، وذلك بهدف توفير بيئة محفِّزة تسهم في استثمار الطاقات الكامنة والقدرات الإبداعية للشباب، وكذلك تلبية احتياجاتهم وطموحاتهم ليكونوا شركاء في العمل المدني ، وفي تحرّي أفضل الفرص والابتكار لقيادة نهضة مجتمعاتهم. "بالشباب ومن الشباب نشكِّل المواقف التي نريد تجاه قطر" يعمل المركز إعتبارًا من العام 2013 تحت مظلة المؤسسة القطرية للعمل الإجتماعي، فضلًا على أن المركز عضو في كلِّ من المجلس الإقتصادي والإجتماعي للأمم المتحدة، والشبكة العربية للمنظمات الأهلية، ومنظمة الأسرة العالمية.
