Gilbert Bécaud, de son vrai nom François Gilbert Léopold Silly, est un chanteur né le 24 octobre 1927 à Toulon. Il grandi dans un univers musical, sa mère étant musicienne. Il se passionne donc très tôt pour la musique et à l'âge de 9 ans, il entre au conservatoire de Nice. Apres la guerre, il décide d'aller vivre à Paris pour percer dans le milieu et se produit dans des bars ou cabarets. Il écrit et compose des chansons et collabore avec Edith Piaf. En 1953, il sort son premier titre. Il remporte un franc succès et dès lors, il enchaîne les concerts dans toute la France. En 1995, il part en tournée dans le monde entier. Dès les années 1960, il continue de sortir des albums qui récoltent tous un énorme succès, grâce à des tubes comme L'indifférence et Désirée. En 1997, il fête ses 70 ans à l'Olympia. Il décède le 18 décembre 2001, à Paris.
