El nombre Otro Tavella y Los embajadores del buen gusto surge en alusión a que el grupo busca sus fuentes de inspiración en músicas y literaturas que son consideradas por sus integrantes como “de buen gusto”, de manera divergente a la estética del Cuarteto de nos, que siempre se nutrió de muchas cosas del momento, jugando con el dudoso gusto de estas.
