Lucas Appiah er 20 år gammel og opvokset i København. Med en fortid i Sankt Annæ drengekor blev grundstenen lagt for hans musikalske nysgerrighed, og i de sene teenage år måtte han sande, at musikken var det der gav ham det ultimative drive. Lucas Appiah har dedikeret sig til at udvikle sine evner indenfor musikken og har brugt en del tid i studiet med musikeren Xander Linnet, produceren Daniel Rasmussen (Rosegold, Jamaika) samt Joshua fra R’n’B duoen Rosegold. For Lucas Appiah var det vigtigt at lære om mekanismerne i sangskrivning, samt opbygning af den gode sang, så han kunne få sine egne ideer og tanker ind i sangene. Sammen har de arbejdet på at skabe Lucas Appiah’s egen lyd der blander de bedste elementer fra pop og R’n’B. Generelt er det vigtigt for Lucas som kunstner at hans musik kan gøre præcis det som gode sange kan, nemlig at skabe en stemning, give energi samt enten et smil på læben eller stof til eftertanke.
