In 2018, I reached 30lbs extra and felt sluggish and not myself... in 2020, after making many failed attempts over time, I reached 25 more pounds, reaching my highest of 167lbs. I was someone who was always really thin growing up, so that extra weight actually brought me down, with my lack of much muscle...haha... An extra 55+ pounds is a lot to carry around. Have you ever picked up those heavy 50 lb packs of sugar at the store!? So, in 2020, I quit sugar as another attempt to try something new and change my lifestyle. And I learned healthy recipes and healthy ingredients in the process. I now eat as clean as I can while still having treat days to enjoy some old favorite foods, mainly at restaurants because I quite love making the healthy foods at home and have no desire to make the unhealthy version I used to make. If this sounds like a journey you can relate to (or want to relate to), join along! I am trying challenges to make this journey fun and enjoyable!
