Dass es diese Band noch immer gibt, ist eine Absage an Ego-Trips und eine Liebeserklärung an den Pluralismus. Max Gaier & Robert Slivovsky an den Lead-Vocals bilden einen klassischen Zweiersturm, Hanibal Scheutz liefert das Fundament am Bass, Miki Liebermann groovt leidenschaftlich an der Gitarre, Clemens Wenger am E-Piano trägt die Verantwortung für den warmen Sound der Combo. Die Band tourt regelmäßig in Österreich, Süd-Deutschland und der Schweiz. Knapp 1000 Konzerte (sic!) haben 5/8erl in Ehr´n gespielt, 6 Austrian Amadeus Music Awards in der Kategorie Jazz/World/Blues gewonnen und bisher 6 Studioalben veröffentlicht. Der Stil von 5/8erl in Ehr´n wird gerne als Wiener Soul bezeichnet.
